Out of the heart the mouth speaks. Therefore, guard your heart with all diligence. For what is coming out of your mouth is an indication of your true heart condition. Be kind to one another. Let your words always be seasoned with grace.
Oftentimes passive aggressive behavior is due to cowardice. Instead of dealing with an issue, or forgiving and moving on, you harbor bitterness. Then when there is an opportunity, you jump right in. Instead, come to Me and I will cleanse and purify you from all sin. I can and will supply all of the grace you need. If you want to be a mouthpiece for Me, you must always keep what flows from you as pure.
Let Me examine you and cleanse you so that others will not be contaminated. For a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. My Word is still the standard by which I judge your words. Therefore, beware of how the enemy will try to stir up strife and contention, worry, anxiety and unbelief. He will entice you to come into agreement with him. When he has you repeating his lies, then he has succeeded. Be careful then and watch how you walk.
Proverbs 13:2-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
2 A good man eats good from the fruit of his mouth, but the desire of the treacherous is for violence.
3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
James 3:3-6 The Message (MSG)
3-5 A bit in the mouth of a horse controls the whole horse. A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets a course in the face of the strongest winds. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything—or destroy it!5-6 It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell.
