I have said to give thanks in all things. This shows that you have faith in Me regardless of your outward condition or circumstances. I am God and I own it all. It is your faith that moves My hand, not your need. It is not that I do not care; it simply does not move Me.
When the disciples were in the boat and thought they were going to drown, what were Jesus' words? O, you of little faith, why did you doubt? You, too, have little faith when you doubt that I will provide for you. For it is in these times of testing that your true faith shows it's colors.
Return to childlike faith where you see Me as Father. I am a good Father. When you ask for bread I will not give you a stone. Remind yourself of all the times I have provided for you, and then give thanks. It brings Me pleasure to provide for My own.
Ponder the Israelites and their wanderings. They complained and complained until it became a stench in My nostrils. Then I sent the meat they demanded, yet they had leanness in their souls. Do not repeat their folly. Instead, give thanks and continue to give what you have, whether it is material goods or kind deeds. For all of your seeds are taken into account, and are even now building up a reservoir of blessing for you and yours. Therefore, give and it shall be given unto you.

Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.
