COMPASSION

As I have said, the poor will always be amongst you. Nonetheless, you must not harden your heart to them or their plight. I have compassion for everyone, regardless of how they have ended up in their circumstances. My church needs to show compassion by helping others learn how to apply Kingdom principles. Give and it shall be given. Even the poor are expected to give; you see this in My law. I took care to make a way for everyone.

My Kingdom is one of compassion and generosity. When My people realize that everything they have is Mine, and they begin living their lives for Me and not themselves; then there will be a turnaround. This is the way of the Kingdom, to give. I set the greatest example when I sent My Son. Why? Because I am love.

Deuteronomy 15:4-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

4 But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess,

5 If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to do watchfully all these commandments which I command you this day.

6 When the Lord your God blesses you as He promised you, then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

Exodus 34:5-7 Common English Bible (CEB)

5 The Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him, and proclaimed the name, “The Lord.”

6 The Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed:

“The Lord! The Lord!

a God who is compassionate and merciful,

very patient, full of great loyalty and faithfulness,

7 showing great loyalty to a thousand generations,

forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion,

yet by no means clearing the guilty,

punishing for their parents’ sins

their children and their grandchildren,

as well as the third and the fourth generation.”

Mark 12:41-44 The Passion Translation (TPT)

41 Then he sat down near the offering box, watching all the people dropping in their coins. Many of the rich would put in very large sums, 42 but a destitute widow walked up and dropped in two small copper coins, worth less than a penny. 43 Jesus called his disciples to gather around and then said to them, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given a larger offering than any of the wealthy. 44 For the rich only gave out of their surplus, but she sacrificed out of her poverty and gave to God all that she had to live on, which was everything she had.”
