Think about the time that it takes to prepare for a wedding. When engaged, there are so many things to do in order to be ready for the big day. Is that how you are living your life? Are you getting ready to meet the Bridegroom?
Does your heart thrill with anticipation of locking eyes with the One that has given His very life for you? Are you celebrating now? Are you worshipping with joy and reckless abandon at the thought of being together forever?
Do you long for this day or are you caught up in the cares of this life? For where your heart is, there is your treasure. Do you long for the Bridegroom’s return? Or are you distracted by worldly pleasures? Are you joyfully pressing in to know Me and My ways? Will you lay all aside to seek My face?
For I am a jealous God and I want your eyes fixed on Me, the lover of your soul. Put aside all other lovers and seek Me first and foremost. Position yourself to receive all that I have for you, for the time of My Son’s return is sooner than you think. Remove your sackcloth and wash your face. Worship and celebrate! You are going to a wedding!

Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. 37 There will be great joy for those who are ready and waiting for his return.
