I see you. I see the crumbs on your face. I know that you’ve been in the cookie jar. Like a child that has been caught sneaking a cookie, I see when you are trying to hide the obvious. A small child does not realize all of the evidence that is so apparent to everyone around them.
Won’t you admit what I and those around you already know? Your denial will not make the truth go away. Why do you hide when it is the only path to freedom? Do you not see the needless pain that you are causing yourself and others by refusing to face the truth?
Won’t you come out of hiding? I already see you. I know everything about you. I know your true heart motives. What are you so afraid of? Rejection? Loss of control? Be honest and come into the light. I am ready to forgive and restore you to wholeness. It may be painful, but it will bring forth the good fruit that you desire: righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Come, little one. It's safe. Let Me clean you up.
John 8:31-32 The Message (MSG)
31-32 Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.”
Proverbs 20:11 New Living Translation (NLT)
Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.
Proverbs 24:26 New International Version (NIV)
An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.
1 John 1:8-10 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
8 If we say that we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we are saying that God is a liar and that we don’t accept his true teaching.
