FOCUS

I am acquainted with all of your sufferings and your grief. My Son bore them on the Cross of Calvary. When you take steps to move in the right direction, I honor you, even though you feel guilty for not wanting to act. As you yield, you are learning not to give in to your feelings. In emotionally charged situations, choose to do the right thing regardless of your feelings. Over time, you will be in the habit of making the right choices.

I always honor obedience. It was for the joy set before Him that Jesus went to the Cross. Look past your circumstances and see the reward. In a battle, a soldier is trained to respond to commands so he will respond automatically and obey whatever command is given.

You, too, must be trained to obey without giving in to negative emotions or condemnation. Do not let the enemy control your mind. Yield everything to Me and Me alone and I will fight for you. Stay focused. Do what needs to be done today and do not turn back. Have I not said do not worry about tomorrow for today has enough trouble of its own? I have overcome the world and so can you, one day at a time.

James 4:7-10 The Message (MSG)

7-10 So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.

Isaiah 26:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)

“You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character],

Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
