You are going to a wedding! The wedding of the Lamb! Behold! You must make yourself ready for your Bridegroom is coming. Do not be caught off guard as the foolish virgins who did not have enough oil in their lamps. For when they sought to borrow oil, they were turned away.
You must return to your first love and follow Me wholeheartedly. There can be no mixture in My bride. Unite your heart to fear My Name! Have you lost your way? Ask for the path that leads to the abundant life, the way of the Cross. No, this is not an easy path, and many will refuse the narrow way and the narrow gate. The cost is high, yet obedience is the only way to the Highway of Holiness, which leads to My holy mountain.
For surely I shall pour out My new wine to bring in the multitude of lost souls. I am longing to fill You with My oil of gladness, yes, even to overflowing. For your obedience leads to the manifestation of My Spirit amongst you. We long to possess yielded vessels and pour out a blessing on all nations.
Therefore, you, My bride, must consecrate yourself once again, for you are set apart to reveal My glory to the nations. As My Name is lifted up amongst men, I will draw them to Myself. The time is short, so make yourself ready. Consecrate yourselves. Remove all that hinders intimacy so that My love can flow through you.
The King of glory is waiting. Hasten, My bride. Allow Me to remove your soiled garments. Dress yourself in your royal gown, pure and white, without spot or wrinkle. For our wedding day is near and I am longing to see you in all of your glory!
Something Old: (ancient paths)
Matthew 7:12-14 The Passion Translation (TPT)
12 “In everything you do, be careful to treat others in the same way you’d want them to treat you, for that is the essence of all the teachings of the Law and the Prophets.”
13 “Come to God through the narrow gate, because the wide gate and broad path is the way that leads to destruction—nearly everyone chooses that crowded road! 14 The narrow gate and the difficult way leads to eternal life—so few even find it!”
Something New: (new wine)
Matthew 9:17 The Passion Translation (TPT)
And who would pour fresh, new wine into an old wineskin? Eventually the wine will ferment and make the wineskin burst, losing everything—the wine is spilled and the wineskin ruined. Instead, new wine is always poured into a new wineskin so that both are preserved.”
Something Borrowed: (empty vessels)
2 Kings 4:2-4 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
2 Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil. 3 Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels—and not a few. 4 And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full.
Something Blue: (royalty, priesthood and holiness)
Numbers 15:37-41 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
37 And the Lord said to Moses, 38 Speak to the Israelites and bid them make fringes or tassels on the corners in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and put upon the fringe of the borders or upon the tassel of each corner a cord of blue. 39 And it shall be to you a fringe or tassel that you may look upon and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, that you may not spy out and follow after [the desires of] your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to follow and play the harlot [spiritually, if not physically], 40 That you may remember and do all My commandments and be holy to your God. 41 I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.
