I am the Lord God Almighty. I do not change. What I have done for others, I can do for you. What mountain do you want to take? Whether you are young or young at heart, I can and will use you. For I raised up My son, David, to be a king, and My daughter, Esther to be a queen. I raised up Daniel and Joseph to rule over pagan cultures. I raised up Mary, a teenage girl, to birth the Son of God. I raised up Jeremiah and Samuel to prophesy to nations and Timothy to pastor My flock.
Why then so many restrictions on who can speak for Me and who can rule for Me? Therefore, do not despise the young or the old, for I am raising up a mighty army to advance My Kingdom.
Jeremiah 1:6-8 Living Bible (TLB)
6 “O Lord God,” I said, “I can’t do that! I’m far too young! I’m only a youth!” 7 “Don’t say that,” he replied, “for you will go wherever I send you and speak whatever I tell you to. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I, the Lord, will be with you and see you through.”
1 Timothy 4:12 Living Bible (TLB)
Don’t let anyone think little of you because you are young. Be their ideal; let them follow the way you teach and live; be a pattern for them in your love, your faith, and your clean thoughts.
Joshua 14:10-14 Living Bible (TLB)
10 “Now, as you see, from that time until now the Lord has kept me alive and well for all these forty-five years since crisscrossing the wilderness, and today I am eighty-five years old. 11 I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent us on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then! 12 So I’m asking that you give me the hill country that the Lord promised me. You will remember that as spies we found the Anakim living there in great, walled cities, but if the Lord is with me, I shall drive them out of the land.”13-14 So Joshua blessed him and gave him Hebron as a permanent inheritance because he had followed the Lord God of Israel.
