Never forget where you came from. Visit often to stir up gratitude of My great love for you. For I saw you when no one else cared, when they passed you by. I got down in the pit with you and lifted you up. I fought for you when others turned away. I took your face in My hands and looked deep into your eyes. I called you up higher. I lifted you up out of the miry clay that engulfed you and broke the chains of sin and shame. I declared "New Creation" over you!
I believed in you then and I believe in you now. I call you My beloved, My precious one. I do not look away in shame or disgust. I see you as My beautiful creation, for you are made in My image and likeness, and I like what I see! Therefore, lift up your head! No longer bow down in guilt and shame, for I am your Redeemer. My love destroys all barriers through the Blood of My Son. So look deep into My eyes again, My love, for there you will find peace, comfort and rest for your soul.
Ezekiel 16:4-8 New Living Translation (NLT)
4 On the day you were born, no one cared about you. Your umbilical cord was not cut, and you were never washed, rubbed with salt, and wrapped in cloth. 5 No one had the slightest interest in you; no one pitied you or cared for you. On the day you were born, you were unwanted, dumped in a field and left to die.
6 “But I came by and saw you there, helplessly kicking about in your own blood. As you lay there, I said, ‘Live!’ 7 And I helped you to thrive like a plant in the field. You grew up and became a beautiful jewel. Your breasts became full, and your body hair grew, but you were still naked. 8 And when I passed by again, I saw that you were old enough for love. So I wrapped my cloak around you to cover your nakedness and declared my marriage vows. I made a covenant with you, says the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17 Living Bible (TLB)
16 So stop evaluating Christians by what the world thinks about them or by what they seem to be like on the outside. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, merely as a human being like myself. How differently I feel now! 17 When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!
