Where are My Davids? Where are My mighty men? Where are those that would do great exploits for the King? Where are those that would take time in the fields to worship and minister to Me? Where are those that would listen to My voice and not give in to the fear man? Where are the men that would run quickly to the battle lines with only a sling and a few stones? Where are the men that would rise up and defend the weak? Where are the men that would bow low and wash another's feet? Who is willing to be a servant first?
For I raise up the humble and make them great. Who is willing to sacrifice their dreams in order to help another reach theirs? For have I not said the first shall be last and the last shall be first in My Kingdom? My Son humbled himself and modeled true strength by submitting to My will in all that He did. It is time for My mighty men to arise and sacrifice all for the cause of the King. For greater love has no man than to lay his life down for his friends.
John 13:12-17 The Message (MSG)
12-17 Then he said, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You address me as ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master,’ and rightly so. That is what I am. So if I, the Master and Teacher, washed your feet, you must now wash each other’s feet. I’ve laid down a pattern for you. What I’ve done, you do. I’m only pointing out the obvious. A servant is not ranked above his master; an employee doesn’t give orders to the employer. If you understand what I’m telling you, act like it—and live a blessed life.
Matthew 23:11-12 Living Bible (TLB)
11 The more lowly your service to others, the greater you are. To be the greatest, be a servant.
12 But those who think themselves great shall be disappointed and humbled; and those who humble themselves shall be exalted.
John 15:12-14 New Living Translation (NLT)
12 This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
