When you were a child, I delighted with each step you took. As you looked up at Me to see My reaction, you kept moving forward knowing My approving gaze was upon you. You did not realize that all along it was Me keeping you from stumbling, for I was holding you up with My righteous right hand. You thought you were doing it all on your own! I just smiled and encouraged you to keep taking the next step. When you fell down, I was there to pick you up and set you on your feet once again.
Eventually, you realized that you never could have made it this far without Me, and this has created such deep gratitude. My love has cast out the fear of failure and you are willing to get up again. Instead of trying to do it on your own, you are looking up to Me to help you to keep going.
This was My design all along. Notice I never chided you for trying to take a step on your own, for this was the only way for you to learn that you needed My help. I have always been there for you each step of the way, and I will continue to guide you even unto your old age. You will always need My help. So keep going, My child. Take another step. We're not finished yet.
