TAKE UP YOUR CROSS

Seeing things from an eternal perspective makes all the difference in the world. Look at the many times that My children were oppressed. The Israelites were slaves for over 400 years. Then later they were in captivity. The rebuilding of My temple and the wall was not without difficulties. My own Son was born under an oppressive political regime. It isn’t that you will not have to go through difficulties and persecution— quite the contrary. It's that I will use it for My glory.

Do not worry about your life, whether you live or die, for your times are in My hands. No one can snatch you out of My hands! Remember that you are already dead, so do not spend your life worrying about the future.

Trust Me one day at a time, for you cannot add a minute to your life by worrying. The enemy wants you to take your focus off of Me and onto your circumstances. But I say to you again, keep your eyes on Me and I will lead you to victory regardless of what it looks like in the natural. For faith in Me and My goodness is what brings the victory. Even Jesus, for the joy set before Him, endured the cross. Remember Jesus’ command—“Follow Me!" Let Me worry about the details. Put your trust in Me, for I am faithful and true, and I will be with you always.

Hebrews 12:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Matthew 16:24 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].
