It's so easy for you to forget Me when your life is going smoothly. This is when you need to be on your guard the most. The enemy is waiting for opportunities to attack, so stay alert. How do you do this? By remembering and meditating on Me and My Word. Ponder the stories of old and how I saved, healed and delivered My children who have gone before you. When you do this, you are preparing yourself for battle, for your enemy will always look for ways to assault your mind. His goal has always been to try and separate us, for he hates the fact that he can never be restored to fellowship, and he knows his days are numbered. Since he cannot get to Me directly, he goes after My children.
He wants you to remember your sins and make you think that all of the evil in the world is My fault. And when things are going well, he wants you to believe that you accomplished this in your own strength. I am your very life and breath. Do you have any idea of how many times that your life has been spared because of My protection? Therefore, awaken each day with a heart full of gratitude and an attitude of humility.
Deuteronomy 8:3, 18 Living Bible (TLB)
3 Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to both you and your ancestors. He did it to help you realize that food isn’t everything, and that real life comes by obeying every command of God.
18 Always remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you power to become rich, and he does it to fulfill his promise to your ancestors.
Isaiah 46:9-10 Living Bible (TLB)
9 And don’t forget the many times I clearly told you what was going to happen in the future. For I am God—I only—and there is no other like me 10 who can tell you what is going to happen. All I say will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
Isaiah 63:7 The Voice (VOICE)
So let me remind you of the Eternal’s enduring love, and why we should praise Him. Let me tell you again how the Eternal gives and gives and gives. All God’s wonders and goodness are done for Israel’s benefit according to His great mercy and compassion.
