READY OR NOT

It's time! Ready or not, here I come! I am coming in all My power and glory! Nothing can stop Me! Many of My own are tired of waiting in the upper room. They have left because I did not show up when they thought I should. Like the Israelites grew tired when Moses went to the mountaintop, My children are ready to build an idol of their own making, thinking I am not going to show up.

Make no mistake, I am never late! I am in control. Nothing the enemy does takes Me by surprise. Read the accounts in My Word and you will see I have always delivered My people at the proper time and season. For there is a time and season for everything. This was true in previous generations and it is true in yours.

Do not grow weary in well doing for you will reap a great reward. For you still have need of patient endurance to inherit your promises. Do not forsake the secret place, for that is where mysteries and secrets are revealed. Do not take your eyes off of the prize of knowing Me above all else. All pales in comparison to knowing Me!

Take My hand and arise! Come away with Me. Rest in My presence. Feed on My Word. Let Me refresh you with cool living waters. For I am coming quickly with My rewards! Ready or not, here I come!

Acts 1:6-8, 12-14 The Message (MSG)

6 When they were together for the last time they asked, “Master, are you going to restore the kingdom to Israel now? Is this the time?”

7-8 He told them, “You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business. What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”

12-13 So they left the mountain called Olives and returned to Jerusalem. It was a little over half a mile. They went to the upper room they had been using as a meeting place:

Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James, son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, Judas, son of James.

14 They agreed they were in this for good, completely together in prayer, the women included. Also Jesus’ mother, Mary, and his brothers.

Acts 2:1-4 Living Bible (TLB)

1 Seven weeks had gone by since Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the Day of Pentecost had now arrived. As the believers met together that day, 2 suddenly there was a sound like the roaring of a mighty windstorm in the skies above them and it filled the house where they were meeting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on their heads. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in languages they didn’t know, for the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
