PUTTING ON CHRIST

The only way you can develop compassion to serve is to spend time in My presence. Open your heart to Me. I will help you to see with My eyes and listen with My ears. Then you will touch with My hands and go where My feet lead you.

Do not get stuck into thinking that you must always feel compassionate. Love is not a feeling but an action. As You allow Me to live through you, My feelings of love and compassion will overtake your negative mindset. As you crucify your flesh and submit to My will in your daily decisions, it will become commonplace for you.

Ask Me each day what I want to do through you. Although I may not give you specifics, I will guide you as you walk by faith. It is an open heart and mind that My Spirit can operate through. It is the daily grace that I have promised to flow through a yielded vessel. Your job is to listen and obey and then leave the results to Me.

As you do this, you will find your strength renewed and your joy return. Kingdom living is first and foremost about serving. Always remember that You can do nothing on your own. Depend on Me moment by moment and I will supply all the grace to accomplish what I have given you to do.

Mark 10:45 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Follow my example: Even the Son of Man did not come for people to serve him. He came to serve others and to give his life to save many people.

Zechariah 7:9 New International Version (NIV)

This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.

Psalm 111:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)

He has made His wonderful acts to be remembered;

The Lord is gracious and merciful and full of loving compassion.

Acts 20:35 Amplified Bible (AMP)

In everything I showed you [by example] that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed [and brings greater joy] to give than to receive.’”
