I long to live in and through you so that Our Kingdom will be manifest on the earth. Yield yourself to Me moment by moment. Consider those you need to pray for, offer a smile or an encouraging word. What you do and how you do it matters to Me. Remember when you serve others, you are serving Me.

Thank Me often that you have others to serve. Look for ways to minister to them. Just as you enjoy the surprises I send your way, look for ways to do special things for others. How can you let someone know that You love them?

Do things from a willing spirit, not under compulsion, for I love a cheerful giver. It is easy for you to give money, more difficult to give of yourself. Learn to love and serve others unnoticed or even unappreciated. Great is your reward in heaven when you serve Me in this way.

Hebrews 6:9-12 The Message (MSG)

9-12 I’m sure that won’t happen to you, friends. I have better things in mind for you—salvation things! God doesn’t miss anything. He knows perfectly well all the love you’ve shown him by helping needy Christians, and that you keep at it. And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish. Don’t drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them.

Romans 12:9-13 The Message (MSG)

9-10 Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.

11-13 Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.

Colossians 3:22-25 The Message (MSG)

22-25 Servants, do what you’re told by your earthly masters. And don’t just do the minimum that will get you by. Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ. The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t cover up bad work.
