You have heard it said, "You can be pitiful or you can be powerful, but you can't be both." You must choose this day whom you will serve. Will you serve your flesh, your enemy or Me? You are always making a decision on who you are serving by the choices you make.
You are being watched; not only by those in your realm of influence, but also in the spiritual world. You are being watched by the enemy camp. You are being watched by My holy angels who are encamped around you, and the host of heaven who are assigned to you. You are being watched by the great cloud of witnesses who are endlessly cheering you on. You are being watched by Us--Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Always keep this in the forefront of your mind.
This is not to discourage you, but to remind you that you cannot afford to play games with the enemy. You must not give place to any of the enemy's tactics against your mind, will and emotions. He is clever and watching for doors that you have left open for him to enter. When you allow self-pity in, that is an open door for him to enter. When you allow selfishness in, that is an open door for him to enter. When you allow pride in, that is an open door for him to enter. You are the gatekeeper of your heart. Be careful not to give place to the enemy.
The enemy is waiting to trip you up, and then assault you with guilt, shame and condemnation. Be aware of his tactics and do not let your guard down. If you fall, quickly repent and do not allow him to take any more ground for he is a defeated foe. The power of the Cross is always available to you. My Son made a spectacle of him and so must you. Get up, dust yourself off and pick up your cross once more. I will always pour out My grace, even when you have a meltdown. You can never earn what has already been purchased, so accept the grace and move forward.
Philippians 2:1-5, 12-14 The Passion Translation (TPT)
1 Look at how much encouragement you’ve found in your relationship with the Anointed One! You are filled to overflowing with his comforting love. You have experienced a deepening friendship with the Holy Spirit and have felt his tender affection and mercy.
2 So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity—with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy.
3 Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. 4 Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. 5 And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation.
12 My beloved ones, just like you’ve always listened to everything I’ve taught you in the past, I’m asking you now to keep following my instructions as though I were right there with you. Now you must continue to make this new life fully manifested as you live in the holy awe of God—which brings you trembling into his presence. 13 God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him. 14 Live a cheerful life, without complaining or division among yourselves.
