LOVE LOOKS LIKE COMPASSION

You have asked Me for more compassion. This is a good thing, for my compassion is new every morning. It is always on display through you, my children. It is what I long to do each and every day as you go to work, school or play. I long for you to see people the way I do, with mercy and compassion. I long for you to look past the external and see who I created each one to be. For so many have been pillaged by the enemy and cannot see past their current circumstances. Hope deferred makes the heart sick.

Will you step out and take a risk to love the unlovely? Will you be the one to call forth their destiny? For the fields are ripe unto harvest, and I am needing laborers who are filled with compassion to bring in the lost, dying, sick, and hurting ones. Therefore, stir up compassion within your soul. Ask Me and I will fill you with My love for others. No longer walk by and ignore those that I came to seek and to save. Love them with My love and bring them to Me. Bring them back to life.

Matthew 14:13-14 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

13 When Jesus heard it, He withdrew from there privately in a boat to a solitary place. But when the crowds heard of it, they followed Him [by land] on foot from the towns.

14 When He went ashore and saw a great throng of people, He had compassion (pity and deep sympathy) for them and cured their sick.

Luke 7:12-14 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” he said. 14 Then he walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.”

Philippians 2:26-28 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

26 For he has been [homesick] longing for you all and has been distressed because you had heard that he was ill.

27 He certainly was ill [too], near to death. But God had compassion on him, and not only on him but also on me, lest I should have sorrow [over him] coming upon sorrow.

28 So I have sent him the more willingly and eagerly, that you may be gladdened at seeing him again, and that I may be the less disquieted.

Colossians 3:12 Expanded Bible (EXB)

·God loves you and has chosen you and made you his holy people. So [ As God’s chosen, holy and beloved ones; Ex. 19:6; 1 Pet. 2:9] you should always clothe yourselves with ·mercy [ a heart of compassion], kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
