Moving forward is never easy when major changes and transitions are involved. People prefer the safety and comfort of the old; but you cannot embrace the new if you are still holding on to the old. The past is to be learned from but not lived in. It's in the past, so leave it in the past.
I am about to do a new thing in the earth. I need those that are willing to walk in complete and utter abandonment and obedience to My will and My ways. This requires refusing to go back and pull things out of the boxes of the past. Relinquish your old way of thinking and embrace the new.
I know the good plans that I have for you and this season did not take Me by surprise. Are you willing to give up control and trust Me to lead you into the unknown? For I am already there waiting for you. Leave the boxes behind and see what I have for you in this season. For surely you have no idea of all the surprises I have for the one who has his heart set on an adventure with Me!
Isaiah 43:16-21 The Message (MSG)
16-21 This is what God says,
the God who builds a road right through the ocean,
who carves a path through pounding waves,
The God who summons horses and chariots and armies—
they lie down and then can’t get up;
they’re snuffed out like so many candles:
“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
rivers in the badlands.
Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’
—the coyotes and the buzzards—
Because I provided water in the desert,
rivers through the sun-baked earth,
Drinking water for the people I chose,
the people I made especially for myself,
a people custom-made to praise me.
1 Corinthians 2:9 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].
Psalm 84:5-6 Living Bible (TLB)
5 Happy are those who are strong in the Lord, who want above all else to follow your steps. 6 When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of springs where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains!
