Keep the main thing the main thing. What is the main thing? First love. Simple, pure devotion to the One you love. Spending time with Me. Remaining in My presence throughout your day. Living, moving, breathing in sync with Me. This is how My Son lived. He was always aware of Me at all times. My Spirit was in Him but He had to yield, just like you do. It was not easier for Him. He had to learn obedience just like you do. The key was in simplicity. He understood that I am the source of life. He emptied Himself and became a man not only to redeem you from the curse, but to model a pure and simple love and devotion for Me, His Father.
My Spirit is living in you as well. Learn to feed on My Word daily and rely on My Spirit to obey My will each day. Jesus only did what He saw Me doing. He only said what He heard Me saying. Come close. Watch daily and listen closely and I will lead you as well. It's really quite simple so that even a child can understand My ways.
Psalm 119:129-130 New Life Version (NLV)
129 Your Laws are wonderful, and so I obey them. 130 The opening up of Your Word gives light. It gives understanding to the child-like.
2 Corinthians 11:1-3 The Message (MSG)
1-3 Will you put up with a little foolish aside from me? Please, just for a moment. The thing that has me so upset is that I care about you so much—this is the passion of God burning inside me! I promised your hand in marriage to Christ, presented you as a pure virgin to her husband. And now I’m afraid that exactly as the Snake seduced Eve with his smooth patter, you are being lured away from the simple purity of your love for Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:1-3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
1 And when I came to you, brothers and sisters, proclaiming to you the testimony of God [concerning salvation through Christ], I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom [no lofty words of eloquence or of philosophy as a Greek orator might do]; 2 for I made the decision to know nothing [that is, to forego philosophical or theological discussions regarding inconsequential things and opinions while] among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified [and the meaning of His redemptive, substitutionary death and His resurrection]. 3 I came to you in [a state of] weakness and fear and great trembling.
Matthew 4:4 The Passion Translation (TPT)
He answered, “The Scriptures say: Bread alone will not satisfy, but true life is found in every word, which constantly goes forth from God’s mouth.”
