Many having itching ears because they want to follow their own heart's desire rather than Mine. Things of the Spirit are discerned by My Spirit within you. However, if you turn off the light within you, then you will be overtaken by darkness. That is what it means to quench My Spirit. It is like shutting the blinds so that the light cannot penetrate.
Self-deception is the worst kind of deception of all because it is willful. You set your heart against Mine. This is idolatry. In reality you are worshipping yourself by setting your ideas and opinions above My own. Was not this Satan's sin as well? He set himself as god in his own mind and thereby became deluded. Hence, why he is called the father of lies.
Therefore, guard your heart with all diligence, for your very life depends on it. Walk in the light of My truth and My Word so that you will not stray. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. This is the way of life in the Spirit.

It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.
