You are too introspective; constantly evaluating what's wrong with yourself, rather than seeing the progress you have made. Stop for a moment and consider all that I have brought you through. You are farther along than you think. There will always be something to work on, as that is the process of sanctification. Do not become morose and focus on your failures. See yourself the way that I see you, a child after My heart. You do not realize how much it pleases Me when I see you trying to follow hard after Me.
Now this is your charge: There are others following and watching you, too. Call them up higher and encourage them to fight the good fight of faith. Help them to see failure as a stepping stone, not a blockade. Remember those that have gone before you. Many failed, but My grace was sufficient to restore them when they came before Me in brokenness and humility.
That is all it takes, beloved child of Mine. Never believe the religious voices that try to make failure your identity. Your identity is in Christ alone, and He paid the price for your complete freedom, even when you fall down. He will always remind you of who your are in Him and will empower you to overcome. Therefore, as you follow Him, encourage others in the same way, for they are looking for you to help them on their faith journey.
Psalm 119:25-32 The Message (MSG)
I’m feeling terrible—I couldn’t feel worse!
Get me on my feet again. You promised, remember?
When I told my story, you responded;
train me well in your deep wisdom.
Help me understand these things inside and out
so I can ponder your miracle-wonders.
My sad life’s dilapidated, a falling-down barn;
build me up again by your Word.
Barricade the road that goes Nowhere;
grace me with your clear revelation.
I choose the true road to Somewhere,
I post your road signs at every curve and corner.
I grasp and cling to whatever you tell me;
God, don’t let me down!
I’ll run the course you lay out for me
if you’ll just show me how.
Psalm 119:1-8 The Message (MSG)
You’re blessed when you stay on course,
walking steadily on the road revealed by God.
You’re blessed when you follow his directions,
doing your best to find him.
That’s right—you don’t go off on your own;
you walk straight along the road he set.
You, God, prescribed the right way to live;
now you expect us to live it.
Oh, that my steps might be steady,
keeping to the course you set;
Then I’d never have any regrets
in comparing my life with your counsel.
I thank you for speaking straight from your heart;
I learn the pattern of your righteous ways.
I’m going to do what you tell me to do;
don’t ever walk off and leave me.
