Goodness is something I want the world to see demonstrated in My people. So many people blame Me for everything bad in the world, when in reality this could not be further from the truth. Remember what the angels proclaimed when My Son was born? Peace and goodwill towards men.
What is it to be good and to show goodness? You have heard parents say to their children, "I'm doing this for your good." A child may not feel like it is good at the time, but in the end it results in the fruit of righteousness. Your actions are in the best interests of the one you are showing goodness to.
The good Samaritan showed goodness to one who was considered an enemy. He did what was right, not what was popular. Showing goodness does not depend on a person's behavior. You choose to show goodness because you are reflecting My goodness.
My people are to be salt in the earth. Doesn't salt make food taste better? Food that would otherwise taste bland? Salt brings out the best in the food and gives it flavor. That is what I want My people to do. Flavor the earth. Doing good in the name of My Son makes the world a better place to live. It draws attention to Me in order that others will want to "taste and see that the Lord is good". Therefore, be salt and show forth My goodness to a world that longs to know that I am good.
