FREEDOM IN WORSHIP

Think about a small child when they hear music. Even though they can barely stand, you see that they can feel the beat and want to move with it. It is what you were made for! For worship is a natural response. It is just a matter of who or what you worship.

This is what it is like when you discover the freedom and joy in worshipping Me. I watch as you focus your energies on realizing who I am. Then you recall what I have done for others and what I have done for you. You become childlike again, learning to lift a foot, clap your hands, and yes, even dance, sing and shout for joy!

I laugh with delight when I see you worshipping freely. For I am looking for those that truly believe I am a good Father and realize that I delight in you; those who stop trying to perform and act perfect before they worship Me, but trust Me in the process of growing and maturing.

For I delight in My children when they take their first steps and when they take their last. I do not love or accept you more when you are older in your faith walk. In fact, as you mature, you should actually become more childlike. This is true freedom! So, rejoice before Me again! Remember what it was like to have childlike wonder. I truly delight in You, My child. Be free! Dance, sing, shout and rejoice unto the Lord!

Jeremiah 31:4 New Living Translation (NLT)

I will rebuild you, my virgin Israel.

You will again be happy

and dance merrily with your tambourines.

Psalm 150 International Children’s Bible (ICB)

1 Praise the Lord!

Praise God in his Temple.

Praise him in his mighty heaven.

2 Praise him for his strength.

Praise him for his greatness.

3 Praise him with trumpet blasts.

Praise him with harps and lyres.

4 Praise him with tambourines and dancing.

Praise him with stringed instruments and flutes.

5 Praise him with loud cymbals.

Praise him with crashing cymbals.

6 Let everything that breathes praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord!
