His footsteps in the night,
Gently lead me to still waters.
Longing to know Him,
Wake myself from slumber.
There's no time when the dawn is breaking.
There's no time when the world is shaking.
There's no time when hearts are breaking.
Come, Lord, quickly come.
Today is the day,
To make a decision.
Today you must choose,
Though met with derision.
He calls your name,
Do not delay.
He wrote your book,
Please take a look.
In His presence, fullness of joy.
Awake, soul, sing His praises.
His Blood, His life, His sacrifice,
Turn to the Cross, be saved.
I am in You. You are in me.
All that will matter for eternity.
2 Peter 3:3-4, 8-9 The Passion Translation (TPT)
3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days mockers will multiply, chasing after their evil desires.
4 They will say, “So what about this promise of his coming? Our ancestors are dead and buried, yet everything is still the same as it was since from the beginning of time until now.”
8 So, dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape your notice: a single day counts like a thousand years to the Lord Yahweh, and a thousand years counts as one day.
9 This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.
Romans 5:1-2, 5-6, 8-9 The Passion Translation (TPT)
1 Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.
2 Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!
5 And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!
6 For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate his love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves.
8 But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!
9 And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in my sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God.
1 John 2:5-6 The Passion Translation (TPT)
5 But the love of God will be perfected within the one who obeys God’s Word. We can be sure that we’ve truly come to live in intimacy with God, 6 not just by saying, “I am intimate with God,” but by walking in the footsteps of Jesus.
