I am an extravagant God and I love to bless My children. The fall has corrupted man's thinking, so that even My children still live in fear and expectation of punishment rather than blessing. Discipline is part of the process of sanctification, but I also love to bless My children. Remember that mercy triumphs over judgment.
As you develop a mindset and understanding of My goodness, then you will have increased expectation of seeing My blessings in your life, and how much more I want to give than you even want to receive. When your will is aligned with Mine, you desire blessings so that you can be a blessing. You become emptied of your self-life so that your desire is to please Me and bring honor and glory to My Name. It brings you joy because you are bringing Me joy.
This is why My Word says give and it shall be given to you. I want you to be blessed. I want the world to see that I am a good Father through My people. Many of My people think of Me as a harsh taskmaster. They are stingy because they are afraid of losing what they have. Don't you realize that the way to more is to lose your life for My sake? It is the only way to life, for surely it is still the way of the Kingdom.
Matthew 25:24-29 Living Bible (TLB)
24-25 “Then the man with the $1,000 came and said, ‘Sir, I knew you were a hard man, and I was afraid you would rob me of what I earned, so I hid your money in the earth and here it is!’
26 “But his master replied, ‘Wicked man! Lazy slave! Since you knew I would demand your profit, 27 you should at least have put my money into the bank so I could have some interest. 28 Take the money from this man and give it to the man with the $10,000. 29 For the man who uses well what he is given shall be given more, and he shall have abundance. But from the man who is unfaithful, even what little responsibility he has shall be taken from him.
Luke 6:38 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! Your measurement of generosity becomes the measurement of your return.”
