BURN, BABY, BURN

You are a child of the Light. Your light is shining ever before Me. Though it often dims to a flicker, I am the fire needed to ignite the passion deep within you. For My deep will forever be calling out to your deep. Your response is to draw near and allow My Spirit to kindle afresh those passions and desires that I have placed in you. You must study yourself to be approved and meditate on My Word. Do not let it escape you, for the enemy comes only to steal, kill and destroy those promises and that passion that I have placed within you.

Be as David, and stir yourself up. There are times I will send others, but you must learn to tend your own fire. Do not be lazy, but come into My presence daily. Come with thanksgiving and a grateful heart. Recall all that I am and all that I have done for you. Allow your problems and circumstances to diminish in light of this revelation. Set your heart and mind on pilgrimage and pour yourself out for My sake. Then I will cause you to burn brightly and draw others to the light of glory and the light of salvation.

Exodus 27:20-21 New Living Translation (NLT)

20 Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually. 21 The lampstand will stand in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the Lord’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for the people of Israel, and it must be observed from generation to generation.

Psalm 77:11-12 The Message (MSG)

11-12 Once again I’ll go over what God has done, lay out on the table the ancient wonders;

I’ll ponder all the things you’ve accomplished, and give a long, loving look at your acts.

1 Samuel 30:6 New Living Translation (NLT)

David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
