BITTER ROOTS

Many have come from a legalistic church background and have given up on Me. They are tired of trying to be good enough or trying to forgive others. My grace is enough I have said, but many of My children say that they love Me yet still hate those in the body of Christ. This should not be so. Your love for each other is what shows the world that you truly know Me. Loving and forgiving others exemplifies the humility of the Cross which My Son bore for you. How can you say that you love Me and not love others? I am not talking about a feeling. I am talking about denying yourself and serving others as unto Me. Whether they appreciate it or not does not matter. You need to get to the root causes of the hatred and bitterness in order to bring healing to My people. Each heart knows it's own bitterness but I alone am the Healer. Many of those that are offended have been wounded deeply. The Cross is the only cure for this malady. Therefore, carry your cross by bearing each other's burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ. Walk in the light. Love one another and show the world that there is hope for them, too. You can only love because I have loved you first. Freely you have received, freely give.

Proverbs 14:10 Living Bible (TLB) Only the person involved can know his own bitterness or joy—no one else can really share it. 1 John 4:19-21 Living Bible (TLB) 19 So you see, our love for him comes as a result of his loving us first. 20 If anyone says “I love God,” but keeps on hating his brother, he is a liar; for if he doesn’t love his brother who is right there in front of him, how can he love God whom he has never seen? 21 And God himself has said that one must love not only God but his brother too. Hebrews 12:15 The Passion Translation (TPT) Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many. Psalm 73:21-24 The Message (MSG) 21-24 When I was beleaguered and bitter, totally consumed by envy, I was totally ignorant, a dumb ox in your very presence. I’m still in your presence, but you’ve taken my hand. You wisely and tenderly lead me, and then you bless me.
