ABBA FATHER

Reach up to Me with the innocence of a little child who trusts their daddy to keep them safe. Though assailed by darkness, facing temptations on every side, you can trust Me with everything that concerns you. How I love when you become childlike, and forget about the cares of this world and come close to Me, your Comforter.

I am not constantly looking at you with a critical eye waiting for you to mess up. I always think the best of you, cheering along each baby step you make towards Me. You're doing a great job! Continue to press into knowing Me more. There is so much that I want to reveal to you.

Yes, you will continue to be tested. I am reaching out to you, offering you My grace which is sufficient to meet every evil tendency. I will cheer for you when you choose rightly. When you choose the wrong path, I will not scowl, but I will gently prod you in the right direction. I will redirect you when you start going the wrong way, just like a parent does a small toddler. Only when you stubbornly and willfully keep going in the wrong direction will I apply the "rod of correction".

You must master sin or it will master you. You cannot be passive, so continue to battle wrong thinking patterns. You are becoming stronger each day that you apply the principles found in My Word. Worship Me and I will bring refreshing to you. I will reveal more and more of My love and grace to you, because it is My good pleasure to do so. How I love our times together. Spending time with My children is always the best part of My day!

James 4:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).

Psalm 32:8-9 New Living Translation (NLT)

8 The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. 9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”

Romans 8:15-16 Living Bible (TLB)

15 And so we should not be like cringing, fearful slaves, but we should behave like God’s very own children, adopted into the bosom of his family, and calling to him, “Father, Father.” 16 For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children.
